George Clooney's scooter was hit by a auto while riding around Sardinia, an Italian island.

Clooney said a auto turned in front of him and he hit it head-on, smashing the windshield, CNN reported.

According to local publication La Nuova, the driver of the auto stayed to help Clooney while they waited for the ambulance - can you imagine realizing that you just hit George Clooney with your vehicle?

"George was treated and released from an Olbia hospital", Clooney's rep said in a statement. "He is recovering at home and will be fine", a source told the Daily Mail. He has already been released from the hospital at this time.
