"Avengers: Infinity War" has finally broken the $2 billion barrier and is now sitting with a worldwide box office total of $2,001,398, according to estimates provided by Box Office Mojo. The Marvel Cinematic Superhero film has entered the $ 2 Billion club at the ticket windows. "Infinity War" nabbed a record $640 million global opening and reached the $1 billion mark in a record 11 days.

Avengers: Infinity War was released nearly two months ago, but it continues to rake in billions at the box office. But if you like Infinity War, there's some stuff to come. That means it's unlikely that Infinity War will catch up to Titanic, and Avatar remains untouchable.

Joe and Anthony Russo directed Infinity War, which assembles just about every Marvel hero ever in a quest to stop the tyrannical Thanos (Josh Brolin) from obtaining all six Infinity Stones and wiping out half of the universe's population. Its US$257.7 million domestic opening weekend set a new record. In China, the film's $369.7 million gross to date ranks third all-time. The third installment of the Avengers franchise has now become the fourth film after Avatar, Titanic and Star Wars: The Force Awakens to achieve this feat.

No title has been revealed so far, although the Russos and Marvel chief Kevin Feige have said that the title could have been a plot spoiler for Infinity War. It's safe to assume that it will, but it was safe to assume that Solo was going to be a big box office hit as well...and it wasn't.

Other top territories include United Kingdom ($95.1M), South Korea ($92.8M), Brazil ($65.9M), Mexico ($59.9M), Australia ($46.3M), France ($45.3M), India ($43.6M), Germany ($43.4M), Russian Federation ($34.4M), and Japan ($33.6M). That said, Avengers 4 has the distinction of being a direct continuation of Infinity War, which will likely draw in a crowd who want to see the Infinity War story concluded.
