E3 2018: No Fortnite PS4 Cross-Play Across Other Console Platforms

We have to assume that this package will include exclusively the Battle Royale mode, as opposed to the full game that it now available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. In Fortnite's case, trying to link the Epic Games account you have on the PS4 with the Nintendo Switch version results in an error saying this is not allowed.

It's also unclear if Fortnite Save the World will be ported alongside Battle Royale in 2018. You can now log in to the Switch version if you've previously played on Xbox, PC, or mobile, so this does appear to be a PlayStation specific problem. The portable capabilities of the console might make Fortnite even better than ever, so we expect the sales of the Nintendo device to spike in the coming months.
