"We are thrilled to partner with IO Interactive on Hitman 2 and bring the latest game in this iconic franchise to the passionate Hitman fanbase and new players", said David Haddad, President of Warner Bros.

The next installment in the Hitman series has been announced.

IO Interactive's follow up to 2016's Hitman is Hitman 2. It will be a direct sequel to Hitman, but unlike the previous title, which featured regular updates to its story via live content, Hitman 2's story will be revealed all at once on the day of launch (though there will still be some additional DLC, like new locations, released over time).

Despite the popularity of the episodic nature of the first game in the rebooted franchise, WB has made a decision to release this one as a full priced, completed release. Hopefully the studio is able to give everyone the best of both worlds with Hitman 2. "Sun-drenched streets" and "dark and unsafe rainforests" are also on the cards, with multiple paths and methods to adopt.

Hitman 2 release date is November 13, 2018 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. However when Agent 47 "learns his target's true identity and the truth about his past, it changes everything" the description hints.

There'll also be a franchise first co-op mode in the form of Sniper Assassin. Those choosing to purchase the Gold or Collector's Edition will get early access to the entire game four days prior to the general release.

You can pre-order Hitman 2 from the Microsoft Store for $59.99.

There's also a new Sniper Assassin mode (trailer below) that lets you work alone or with a buddy to take down your target. If you pre-order Hitman 2 standard, Gold, or Collector's Edition, you can also play Sniper Assassin mode now.
