Colbert Theorizes About Melania Trump’s Mysterious Absence: ‘This Is Just Weird’

As of today, the White House has promised that Melania is set to attend a closed-door event this evening for Gold Star families.

After sharing the video, Greene who is part of a Gold Star family, relayed some of the President's comments regarding Melania and her health.

According to The New York Times, the White House cancelled an event to mark the Eagles' Super Bowl victory after finding out that fewer than 10 players were expected to attend.

Two unnamed officials told CNN that Hagin did the same thing when Chinese President Xi Jinping was planning to visit Mar-a-Lago a year ago. These are Gold Star families.

"To all those who have lost loved ones in service to our country, our nation grieves with you", her statement read.

Among all of the many important news stories happening in the world right now, nothing has captivated us quite like the unexplained disappearance of First Lady Melania Trump.

On May 14 she was admitted to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Maryland for the kidney procedure.

Last week, Mrs. Trump attempted to quash rumors of her activity by claiming she was still recovering at home in the White House, while also attacking the media for "working overtime" with their speculation.

In a statement from her office after the event, Trump did not mention her time away from the White House's public schedule.

Nancy Reagan spent several weeks out of public view after a mastectomy, but continued to meet with staff and do other work behind the scenes.

As Rudy Giuliani argued Sunday, "President Trump couldn't even be indicted for murder - which is an incredibly normal thing to say if you're the lawyer of a man whose wife hadn't been seen in 24 days", Klepper said.

"Mrs. Trump is very strong and independent", Grisham said.

Her absence sparked all kinds of wild speculation, but the first lady has shown no interest in making an appearance just to knock down rumors.
