Kellyanne Conway On James Comey: 'This Guy Swung An Election'

After her interview with Chris Cuomo and several others on Monday morning, Kellyanne Conway continued her defense of Donald Trump [VIDEO] in regards to the James Comey interview by going to her personal Twitter account.

ABC's Sunday night interview with James Comey earned the network a ratings boost, yet fewer people watched the former Federal Bureau of Investigation director's conversation with George Stephanopoulos than both the 2018 Academy of Country Music Awards and "60 Minutes" sit-down with Stormy Daniels the previous month.

Trump tweeted "Comey drafted the Crooked Hillary exoneration long before he talked to her (lied in Congress to Senator G), then based his decisions on her poll numbers". Point I made on 3 shows is that we are supposed to believe THIS guy swung an election? Then she began trying to talk over Cuomo and went back to the well of thought to say that the Federal Bureau of Investigation was nothing but Democrat agents angling for Hillary Clinton to pull out the 2016 election. The interview highlighted the April 17 release of Comey's book, A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership.

The comments come the morning after the airing of Comey's interview with ABC News, his first since being fired by Trump last May.

McCabe's attorney has asserted publicly that emails show "that Mr. McCabe advised Director Comey that he was working with colleagues at the Federal Bureau of Investigation to correct inaccuracies before the stories were published, and that they remained in contact through the weekend while the interactions with the reporter continued".

"He struggled to answer basic questions", Conway added, further showing how unimpressed she was with Comey's interview.

Comey just loves "being in the proximity of power", Conway shot back.

Mr Trump's adviser Kellyanne Conway accused Mr Comey of peddling a "revisionist version of history" and sinking into the "gutter" with petty comments about the size of Mr Trump's hands and the length of his tie.

"At the end of your interview, George, he gave a free political commercial, telling people to go out there and vote against the president and his interests", Conway said. "As I said dozens of time, Hillary, not Comey, is why Hillary lost", she wrote.
