A fire Saturday afternoon in Virginia left one house heavily damaged.

The fire happened at a home in the 3000 block at 3:45 a.m. Sunday.

A family of six was displaced from their home after a small house fire broke out in San Lorenzo this evening.

It's now unclear what started the fatal fire, the release says.

Rutledge said firefighters continued to search for the man's wife who was believed to be unaccounted for at the time.

According to the county coroner, 83-year-old Robert Taylor died from smoke inhalation.

The man's nephew, his nephew's girlfriend, and their child were all living with him and made it out safely.

Authorities said search crews found the body of an adult male, believed to be in his mid-70s deceased inside the residence.

The cause is under investigation.
