The New York Knicks need to fill a coaching vacancy, and one former Knick hopes to get the call.

"That's [management's] job. They're going to do their part and I'm going to do my part".

Contacted by The Post on Saturday, Woodson said he hadn't heard from the Knicks yet, but would love to.

After firing Jeff Hornacek within hours of their season ending last week, the New York Knicks are starting to extend their search for a new coach.

The season began with an unexpected 17-14 record, aided by surprise contributions from the likes of Enes Kanter and Jarrett Jack, two veterans who gave the team a nightly boost of energy.

"The situation is what it is. I'm sure the front office, they will make the right decisions and build something that can go a long way", Porzingis said.

Blatt has said he wants another chance in the National Basketball Association, and he's a possible candidate for a good number of the current or looming job openings around the league. It was waived after less than a year when he was bought out of his contract.

Before meeting with Mills and Perry on Saturday, Porzingis, 22, reiterated that he wants to remain in NY long term.

Moments before the Cleveland Cavaliers took the court for their 2018 NBA Playoffs opener, one of their former head coaches found himself in the news.

The Knicks and Porzingis are entering a pivotal offseason. It can offer up to five years and $157 million. It is unclear if or how Porzingis' injury will impact their approach.

Nobody would fault the front office for waiting until next summer, especially when that can create additional cap room for the 2019 free agency class.

"I expect myself to heal like a lizard", Porzingis added. I want it to be mutual. So whenever I see myself ready and whenever my team allows me to come back, I'll come back.
