Now Google Assistant can launch into a series of actions by being given a voice command such as "Hey Google, good morning". For example, you could ask your Google Home to "Remind me to buy paper towels when I get to the grocery store", and it should pop up that notification on your smartphone when you get there.
Your reminder will appear on your phone when you arrive at the given location. The Google Home range of speakers was toted to make your domestic life easier, and it wouldn't be very good at it if it lacked the ability to remind you of stuff. The national brands that have formally aligned with Google's voice-activated virtual assistant to accept spoken orders via the delivery marketplace Google Express include Costco, Guitar Center, Kohl's, L'Occitane, Payless, PetSmart, Road Runner Sports, Sur La Table, Ulta, Walgreens, Amazon's Whole Foods, Walmart's 4,700 stores, and Panera Bread.
Previously, users were only able to set location-based reminders on their phones and not on Google Home devices.More news: Dion Lewis To Sign 4-Year Deal With Titans

Google Assistant is about to start doing more without quite as much talking on your part. If you live elsewhere, Google suggests you set up the My Day daily briefing for now. You can't, in our testing today, say that you need to collect clothes from a named dry cleaners, for instance. This allows for one phrase that controls multiple actions.
That's all likely to improve as time goes on, and as the Assistant learns to differentiate more accurately.
A location-based reminder is triggered, as the name indicates when you're at a certain location.
