Monster Hunter World Getting Devil May Cry DLC

Perhaps it's no surprise, then, that we're seeing Capcom roll out tie-in after tie-in for Monster Hunter: World players. Typically these come with hefty shields, which can be combined with their matching swords to create a massive axe to wield. As with the Street Fighter and Horizon Zero Dawn promotions, this one will allow you craft armor that makes your character look like Dante, the protagonist of the Devil May Cry series. The collaboration and event quests to unlock the new items are coming soon according to the Capcom website. Charge Blades in Monster Hunter World combine the shield with the sword to transform into axes, but the Devil May Cry weapons will have the Force Edge transform into Alastor.

You'll get to fight hellish foes in Monster Hunter: World to earn this devious combination of the Force Edge and Alastor. As the Inquisitr reported, players can complete the six-start event quest "The Proving" to collect materials for the special items.

No word on when the collaboration set will be released (and we are still waiting on Sakura) but the method to obtain the Dante set should be similar to the others and will be available to all Monster Hunter: World players when it's out. Players can pick up the collection on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

This is a collaboration event between Monster Hunter and Devil May Cry that will go live sometime later this year. Three Devil May Cry titles are included in the collection which is available now.
