Something to keep in mind is that FROMSOFT also joined in with Nintendo to develop games for the Switch, it's possible that the remaster may be making its way to Switch, which has been rumored quite the many times. And in case of PS4 Pro and Xbox One X, the game will be upscaled to 4K resolution and 60 FPS. Despite the fact that is being ported to Nintendo, Dark Souls Remastered will be available for all other platforms.

Are you excited about the possibility of PS4 remaster of Dark Souls? Even the current PC port isn't the best, so to finally be able to see this game in its intended glory is all I really need.

"From their first timid steps to absolute mastery, players will build their characters by strategically adapting to daunting foes, exploring haunting locations, and amassing a large collection of weapons, armour and magic spells to utilise for a truly unique playstyle", states the press release for the game. Online multiplayer for Dark Souls: Remastered will feature an increase with support for up to six players.

Since then, Bandai Namco has removed the sentence and assured fans via a spokesperson that the $40 price is across the board for all platforms, suggesting that the original information was made in error.
