It's also believed that the remaster will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Via Kotaku, Dark Souls Remastered will be an updated version of the original Dark Souls game, which debuted in 2011 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Lordran and its cadre of nightmarish monsters will no doubt look even more haunting and treacherous with all of that lovely extra detail.

The hardcore role-playing game by developer Bandai Namco, "Dark Souls", will be offered as a special "Dark Souls Trilogy Box Set", which will include all three games. Check out the announcement trailer below.

This new version of the acclaimed action RPG will come packaged with the Artorias of the Abyss expansion, and players who own a PC, PS4 Pro, or Xbox One X will be able to experience the game in "Dynamic 4K" resolution. Dark Souls joins Skyrim and Doom as more hardcore offerings on Nintendo's new system.
