Jurgen Klopp suspects Liverpool may have "suffered a little too much" over losing big players in the past and will not do anything "crazy" to replace Philippe Coutinho.

Roberto is known for his flexibility and is fit for playing in the two positions which is something that Klopp is searching for.

The Liverpool manager added: "You can not use him if he's not 100 per cent. Philippe Coutinho is a world class player but if he's not 100 per cent, he's not that worldwide class, Premier League class, then you lose the grip". I don't want to sound disrespectful because I really liked him; he was five years here and since I came in he was always in the dressing room. He's there, we are still here and we have to deal with the situation.

"It's normal in this business - you lose players, you buy players, you bring players through", he added.

"There was no other option", said Klopp. "He was fantastic in the first part of the season, and the team did". Really, it is a normal, normal thing and we have only to make the best of it.

'I'd be surprised if they replaced him [Coutinho] in this window, ' Shearer told bookmaker Coral.

To the tune of The Archies' Sugar, Sugar, Kevin has allayed his fellow fans' disappointment by reminding them of the other players they have on their roster.

Liverpool struck a deal with Leipzig to sign Keita during last summer's transfer window for a reported fee of £48m (€54m) with the midfielder remaining at the German club for the duration of the 2017-18 season.

However, despite laying praise at the rest of the Fab Four, it was Mohamed Salah in particular who the former Arsenal man tipped to replace Barcelona-bound Coutinho, waxing lyrical about his clever running. When we had this conversation around Phil Coutinho, I said the same - nothing to say - and I won't change that.

Coutinho, who joined Liverpool in January 2013, scored 41 goals in 152 Premier League appearances, including seven in 14 matches this season. "That is all we know".

Liverpool are reeling from the loss of Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona, but according to latest reports on Sky Bet, the Reds are favourites ahead of both Manchester United and Barcelona to complete the signing of Atletico Madrid superstar Antoine Griezmann. That's what I know. City like to play out from the back and will always give you a chance, which is why Lallana could be a real difference-maker this weekend.
