More than anything else, though, it's great that Bandai Namco finally listened to what fans have asking about for years and made a decision to remaster Dark Souls 1 at all. These ports are being handled by a separate company from the Switch port, and will feature rebuilt lighting and SFX based on Dark Souls 3, as well as upscaled textures. From their first timid steps to absolute mastery, players will build their characters by strategically adapting to daunting foes, exploring haunting locations, and amassing a large collection of weapons, armor, and magic spells to wield for a truly unique playstyle. Experience the rich world of Dark Souls in Dynamic 4K resolution when playing on a PS4 Pro, Xbox One X, and PC (Steam).

One of our sources indicates that Bandai Namco plans to bring all three Dark Souls games to Switch eventually, but the oft-rumoured "trilogy" bundle is not how this will be happening - yet. The box features Dark Souls Remastered, Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin, Dark Souls 3: The Fire Fades Edition, soundtracks, knight and bonfire bookends, an encyclopedia, and a special art set.
According to the publisher, Dark Souls: Remastered for the Switch will run at 1080p 30fps.
