Comedic duo Brett McKenzie and Jermaine Clements are reuniting for a tour round the US.

The Flight of the Conchords are coming back to HBO, and 2018 is a little brighter already.

The duo, Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie, made the announcement on Facebook this morning.

According to HBO, the show will be taped during one of their performances in the United Kingdom in March during the duo's "Flight of the Conchords Sing Flight of the Conchords Tour", where they are set to perform their classics, plus some new material.

Conchords, starring McKenzie and Clement as weirdo New Zealand musicians struggling to make it big in New York City, debuted on HBO in 2007 and ran for two seasons, racking up 10 Emmy nominations and developing a cult following.

There has been vast interest in the tour, with tickets selling out in seconds and more dates having to be added. "We're going to shoot an hour thing".
