2017 was a solid year for fighting games, with titles like Injustice 2 and Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite coming out, but it seems like next year will be even better. While there were few specific details one could pull from this trailer, the little we've seen here looks handsome and full of the burning excitement we've come to expect from the Soul Calibur franchise. With Soul Calibur VI freshly announced at The Game Awards 2017, fans are preparing to once more let their souls ignite in combat and let their weapons speak for them.

A short trailer was shown and the graphics have been built on Unreal Engine 4.

For those unfamiliar, the Soulcalibur series differentiates itself from other fighting with its focus on weapon use and a unique historical fantasy setting. SoulCalibur 6 has a 2018 release date though no information on an exact date has been announced just yet. Only time will tell. You might have forgotten about the title since the last one was made available five years ago.
