Damishi Sango, the state chairman of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), in Plateau has reportedly been kidnapped alongside his son.
MSango, who was a Minister of Sport under former President Olusegun Obasanjo, was kidnapped on Wednesday alongside his son and two others.
The incident was said to have occurred while they were in transit from Jos to Abuja in preparations for the party's national convention scheduled for Saturday, December 9.
The Plateau State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr. Terna Tyopev, said Sango was on his way from Jos to Abuja on Wednesday evening when the kidnappers got him.
The kidnappers made contact with Sango's family yesterday afternoon and demanded N100 million ransome.

A family member, Mr Jonathan Mapis, who spoke on the issue, said that the victims were abducted "around 5.30 p.m".
"They are still with their abductors.We are waiting to see whether the kidnappers will reduce the ransom tomorrow".
Mapis, however, said that no one had contacted the family so far. I woke up this morning with a lot of missed calls and when I called his personal assistant, he broke the news that Chairman was kidnapped on his way to Abuja.
The party spokesman disclosed that the jeep belonging to the former minister had been found by security agents with two telephones belonging to his son that was kidnapped along with him.
However, the Kaduna State Police Command has said special forces had been dispatched to rescue Sango and four others. We want to know if they (abductees) are alive and in good condition.
