Epic Games has revealed a new limited time mode coming to Fortnite: Battle Royale tonight at The Game Awards.

The new "50 versus 50" game mode was announced at the Game Awards this evening, alongside a trailer showing off some gameplay of it in action.

Fortnite's 1.9 patch provided much-needed Xbox One X Support, and also unlocked Xbox-exclusive heroes.

This new mode will put two teams of 50 players each up against one another in a massive battle taking the Battle Royale mode into a whole new field.

Fortnite: Battle Royale is free on PC and consoles. There's been no word on whether the game mode will come back in the future.

The Fortnite Battle Royale 50 vs 50 game mode will be available until Sunday, December 17th on PS4, Xbox One and PC, though Epic stated that they are working on more unique modes to introduce to the game.

While Fortnite has much to offer with its Battle Royale and Save The World mode, Last Team Standing mode may be a welcomed addition for the game's many fans.
