Rob Gronkowski apologized for his reckless behavior during the New England Patriots' win over the rival Buffalo Bills, but that's not enough for rookie cornerback Tre'Davious White.

White said today that Gronkowski's hit was risky and could have caused a severe injury, and that the NFL's suspsension was woefully inadequate.

"He is what he did". "Dirty shot. So what does that make him?"

"I'm laying there. He snuck me".

Gronk weighs 265 pounds and easily could have broken a back or neck vertebrae in White, the hit was so impactful. "I've got a son to raise, and all of that". People don't think about that when they just react.

White made his first comments since being hit by Gronkowski with 4:50 left in Buffalo's 23-3 loss to the Patriots. White was on the ground after intercepting Tom Brady. Gronkowski was penalized for unnecessary roughness following the play, and then issued a one-game suspension by the National Football League a day later. White then enetered concussion protocol. Buffalo plays host to 3-9 Indianapolis on Sunday.

"Yeah, I'm (ticked) off about it".

"Man, it's a joke, dog", White said. I'm glad I had my mouthpiece in or I could've bit my tongue off. I bit my lip pretty bad. "Awful headache. It is what it is". Gronkowski issued an apology after the game, blaming his outburst on "frustration" over what he considered inconsistent officiating. When you see a shot like that, I don't care ...

Added White: "The guy did what he wanted to do".

"No. His intentions were what he did", White said.

While speaking with reporters on Thursday, Buffalo Bills defensive back Tre'Davious White called it a "joke" that Gronkowski will only have to sit for one game.
