This most recent rumor is based on images created by a digital artist working for one of Huawei's creative agencies. Following the Pixel 2's score of 98 are the Huawei Mate 10 and iPhone X, both tied at 97.

The upcoming Huawei P-series smartphone dubbed the Huawei P11 is rumored to feature not two, but three camera sensors in the rear of the device thus allowing the rear camera setup to take images up to 40MP in resolution with 100% extra light and better stabilized night shots.

Chinese phone developers Huawei are planning to add a triple camera in 2018 to its P-series after a leak by industry inside Evan Blass. Huawei declined to comment on the ads.

Ever since Huawei partnered with Leica to build the optics and camera software for the P9, the company has been paying great attention to camera quality, even when it comes to mid-range offerings from its Honor sub-brand. Transitioning to a 24-megapixel front camera would be a significant step up from the P10. In spite of the success, Huawei won't be resting on its oars next year, as a new leak has revealed key info about the next gen P-series. Moreover, the cameras may be once again co-engineered with photography company Leica.

We have yet to see any triple rear camera Huawei phones so we're not quite sure what to expect, but the extra lens may add some extra functionality similar to how dual-rear cameras can do more than a single lens camera.

The cameras will also take advantage of the AI Camera Assist feature that helps with scene recognition, auto framing, and mode suggestions for the best results. The Huawei P10 was first unveiled at Mobile World Congress in February, so keep your eyes out for more P11 info in the coming months.
